New Sounds: Tamaryn

The last two albums from artist Tamaryn are capsules of pure shoegaze bliss, including a song that I personally believe to be as close to perfection as any song can hope to get.

So I’m happy to report that the long awaited third album Cranekiss, will arrive on 8/28 from Mexican Summer, accompanied by the huge first single, “Hands All Over Me”:

The song is hooky and deceptively dark, and the vocals sound (dare I say?) slightly like Madonna, but in the best way. This new electro-pop direction is a welcome change of form, and hopefully, it represents more of what’s to come from the singer and her two new collaborators, Shaun Durkan of Bay Area psych band The Weekend and co-producer Jorge Elbrecht.

In addition to being a wonderful artist, Tamaryn maintains a compelling social media presence. You can follow her on Twitter and Instagram, if you fancy.
